I have three older Sunfish and I use them for recreational use only--no racing. Is it worthwhile using a product such as Sailkote to squeeze any extra speed out of them and also to help keep the dirt off also? All three 'fish have seen lots of use and are far from perfect, the usual scrapes...

I think all sailors should be allowed on here, just because a guy is Polish should not be a reason to cut him out!

How about this idea--We choose a date and EVERYONE who owns a Sunfish will have them out on the water nationwide!!! Imagine every local lake loaded with a bunch of Sunfish!! Now that will make the news!

Has anyone ever heard of a northland sailboat? It seems quite similar to a sunfish and I have a chance to pick it up complete for $100. Would it be a wise addition to my fleet or just another tub? Thank you Mark

I am going 300 miles to pick up a Sunfish. Should I carry it on my roof rack on my caravan or tie it to the rails on my 4 by 8 foot utility trailer? Which is easier and/or better for the boat? Thanks Mark
