Laser towing in cold weather
I recently sold my Laser. Sad day for me, but injury forced the sale.
The new owner of my Laser plans on towing the Laser from Kansas to WI. It’s winter and I concerned about the new owner towing the Laser in frigid temperatures, especially “wind...
I have always thought that good sailing books are welcome by any person who sails.
Basic books are good, as well as Laser specific books. I have purchased many of my books on e-bay for $4 – 10 each. A bargain. The basics of sailing rarely change so even older publications are worth...
Hello:
I have the opportunity to purchase a TowGo jet ski trailer. I have done some measurements and find that it may be suitable for towing a Laser with it.
Has anyone done this?
Thanks,

Hello:
Wait till the winter months to pick up a good nearly 'unused' sail at a good price. I did and have three sails now. One for practice, second for backup, and the third one, for racing.
Paid $ 300.00 for all three. Well worth the wait. Intensity makes a good sail for nearly all...
Old Dog:
You are never too old to sail anything. I had a 10-year absence from sailing Lasers until last year. Before that, I had Lasers from the 70’s.
I did do a little soul searching and got in shape this past winter before I started to sail again. I didn’t kill myself getting...
Welcome:
After a 10 year absence, I am a returning Laser member and sailing again.
Nobody seem to care about my 'dumb' questions. I like that.

Thanks for all that helped with this issue. I have three sails, and had 5 baton ends lodged in the end of the baton sleeve.
I used this mechanic tool to retract (less than 30 seconds each, with 4 of the 5). The 5th one was miserable. I decided to cut the end of the baton sleeve to understand...
ThomasR & Sailorchick:
Clarification on my post. Sorry!
I seem to have the tiller extension problem when it is folded back over the mail tiller.
So, I think I have a 'procedure' issue. Keep the tiller extension extended at all times?
Thanks,
Kris
I seem to have the tiller extension hang up in the traveler at times.
Is is OK to trim (cut down) the tiller extension so it won't hand up in the traveler? Or, am I doing something wrong and need to learn a procedure to eliminate this issue.?
In advance, I appreciate all posts!
Kris...
