You might be going through sailing withdrawl if...

you change lanes continuously on the interstate to simulate the windward leg, riding the lifts and changing lanes when you get headed.

    towing a sunfish

Get a sailing dinghy. Too much stuff. What body of water are you sailing in? How fast are you towing? Is the inflatable being towed from two points to keep it tracking well? When you do this drill, is the Sunfish unrigged (mast down), is the daggerboard lashed in down position...

    Fiberglassing the daggerboard

If it straightens out when dry, then sand and add at least four more more coats. Do the rudder as well.

    Fiberglassing the daggerboard

:( Did you miss the edges? The endgrain can act like a straw if it is not sealed.

Sure Geezer, right here: Flying Scot Forum You can learn how to shim your centerboard and the advantages of mid-boom sheeting.

    Fiberglassing the daggerboard

Arizona huh?. If it is dry and warm where you are, 12 hrs between coats would be sufficient. 4 coats minimum if you plan on keeping up with the varnishing. A coat in the morning and a coat at night could have you finished in a couple of days depending on what brand you buy. Read the label. I...

    Bottom repair

Clean the bottom. Use an epoxy like PC-11 Marine to fill in any scratches and cover any bare spots. Sand it fair. Sail.

    Overhead storage of a Sunfish

Brad: Check out the PM I sent you. Basically, properly distributed athwartships to engage the keelson, the stress on the hull would, IMO, be negligible.

    Overhead storage of a Sunfish

I lift the boat with a double pulley and one wide webbing strap just aft of the splashguard where it will balance. Once at the height I desire, I add two more static straps; one at the bow and another at the stern. Your 43:1 winch is plenty. I feel safer underneath with the extra straps...
