Downhall?
That makes sense about the Cunningham. Thanks.
I don't see anything about a downhall line in the pictures so I assume that this isn't necessary. Correct?
Shroud price
I emailed with Catalina again today and got the price for a pair of shrouds straightened out. The price is $46.20 as someone said earlier.
Thanks for everyone's help. By the way, they said it might take 3 days to ship so we'll see!
Playing it safe
Thanks for the info. I will contact Catalina again today and double check on the price.
I bought this 1990 model and I'm guessing just from the boat's history that the standing rigging is original. The shrouds "look" okay but it seems like very cheap insurance to replace them.
Gooseneck hole for the cunningham
In the pictures I see in the owner's manual the hole in the gooseneck fitting is shown on the top rather than the bottom.
Does anyone see it the same way when looking at their literature?

I just bought hull 3483, a 1990 Mod II. The jib halyard doesn't seem to be set up correctly. The halyard has a small block positioned just about in the middle of the halyard. I think that I see how this is supposed to be rigged - I guess the idea is to allow simple adjustment to the jib luff...
