Plastic Cap On The End of the Mast

In case anyone comes here looking for answers in the distant future, this is the solution I went with. Worked like charm!

Selling all 15 of our boats

    Lol it's ok, I'll live.

Spring is coming! The boats are getting restless!

No kidding! I didn't actually do ANY sailing last season because it just seemed like the weather/wind was either too crazy or not crazy enough. This season, that changes. I'm going every chance I get, even if it means calling in sick!

Selling all 15 of our boats

I'll admit it. I was heartbroken for a second there.

Pulling Sunfish up from shoreline to beach

I know dollies are kind of expensive, but trust me, they're worth their weight in gold. I wouldn't be able to sail without one (I suck at backing up trailers).

Plastic Cap On The End of the Mast

It's cool, I see you can buy new ones with the metal pins included. Hopefully I can figure out how the metal pins go in, but I'm up for the challenge!

Plastic Cap On The End of the Mast

Got the boat ready for the next nice day we have, and in doing so I noticed that the plastic cap that you run the halyard through on the mast only has one metal pin holding the cap in. Not sure when and where the other one fell out, but what should I do about this? Is there a way to pin it back...

    Sealing the Coaming

Thanks for the link! I'll definitely use those if I find a leak. I mean, there's definitely a leak there, but you know.

    Sealing the Coaming

And you just seal the seam with epoxy? That's easy! What kind of syringe do you use?

    Sealing the Coaming

Ordering the new bailer tonight and I'll report back once it comes in and I can take the old one off. Guessing there should be no open gaps or holes in there?

    Sealing the Coaming

    Am I wrong? Lol

    Sealing the Coaming

    Screw threads? Aren’t they rivets?

    Sealing the Coaming

Did a leak test today and realized I have some leaks on a couple of the rivets on the coaming and the autobailer. I know I have to replace my autobailer, but as far as the coaming goes, is there a recommended way to sealing it that doesn't involve taking the coaming off? Should I even worry...

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

I went sailing today and the ratchet block worked great! Much better than just hooking it and at no point did it feel unsafe. Thanks for the recommendation!
