Y'know, I asked this very same question last year (who wants to stop sailing in the winter?) and the prevailing response was "get a drysuit!". The problem with a wetsuit is eventually you get cold in it. I wound up with a Mythic Sobek- very inexpensive, breathable, front zipper. Best investment...

That's mountain sailing for ya... I live in Colorado now, but sailed the Whiskeytown Regatta many times in the 70's and 80's in Lido's and 505's. No substitute for seat time! I think Dick Tillman's Complete Book of Laser sailing is really good; cheap on ebay. Have fun!

Here's a bit of a trick that actually does work- if you put a bit of tension on the parking brake (so it's dragging a little, not locking), it will minimize all the torque going to the tire with the least traction. Not limited slip, but it does help. 2WD trucks and boats don't mix very well, do...

Okay, I just resurrected an old Laser, just in time for the boating season to end here in Colorado. I'd like to have a few more days on it; air temps right around 60 and water temp around 55 or so. So I'm sailing with a full wetsuit, and here is my question- is it better to keep the wetsuit dry...
