Drew: The looseness of the stays can be solved by pulling down the forestay a hole or two. The mast should be fairly stable with all wires tight. If the mast is leaning forward too much, move the side stays down a hole.

Fred - what hull number is your Omega? Mine is 1628 and I have no information on the build date.

I just bought a super cheap and 95% complete Capri Omega hull number 1628. What it needs the most is a new centerboard. The old one is rotted in two and hard to tell if it is original. I would like to shape a new one from oak, but don't want to use that one as a pattern. If anyone has a...
