    PSA Laser 201xxx gelcoat colour?

I was expecting this reply, and to be fair, I can tell you that the boat hasn't almost yellowed, it's whiter than new ILCAs. Also, the new gelcoat would match colour after some time. Plus, for tinting, having the original g.coat colour would be a better starting point than randomly buying /...

    PSA Laser 201xxx gelcoat colour?

So I am a proud owner of a PSA (Australian) Laser, Hull No. 201xxx. It's a great boat from 2013, it's a winning boat, it's stiff and performs great. Over the years however, I had the occasional ding and scratch, so would like to repair it. Problem is... I can't find the same gelcoat colour. I...

Repair  Does replacing the sail window break rule compliance?

So, have this old training sail that I am about to sell for €150... Before selling it, I wanted to repair the window decently because it had a bunch of holes sealed with tape / adhesive Dacron. A sailmaker advised that the only way was to replace the entire thing, so I trusted him and let him...

My Laser was hit by a car!

You'd be surprised how strong lasers are, the entire deck is built in sandwich construction, however it surelly isn't designed to whitstand a car impact, if something can be doine by the insurance you can have it checked by surveyor. I studied surveying myself at University (Yacht Engineering)...

    Europa Cup Laser Italy Cancelled

Link: Circolo Vela Torbole cancelled the event, personally I still don't know the reasons but probably because of Covid-19 complications. If you had any plans to come, then looks like you'll at least be saving some money!

Can you bring a phone along or papers when you race?

Understood, will have to find a solution for safety during races, last year at a national, I found myself with no wind, no one willing to give me a tug, and barely enough light to make it back to shore. Just not keen to repeat that.

Can you bring a phone along or papers when you race?

I do often find myself going out alone, and for safety reasons I bring a phone along. My question is if I can still do this during races and If I am allowed to stick a piece of paper with weather data inside the cockpit. Don't worry, I still haven't tried, and I am asking because I want to...
