Thanks, should I apply the mix then put the screws in straight away or let it dry before screwing them down ?
I don't suppose I could mix sillicone with epoxy ?
Hi,
My deck cleat base for the outhaul/downhaul has been slowly coming out of the 2 holes so I got 2 new screws and filled up the holes with silicone gel. But it's not holding the whole thing tight enough which slowly comes out every time I go out sailing.
How can I make the 2 holes tighter...
My outhaul fairlead has screws not rivets - guess that's what's holding the plug then? I will unscrew it tonight and see what happens - thanks - looks like there are several different methods of holding it out there, my laser is 165,818
Hello,
I need to tighten the eyestrap at the end of the book which hold that block for the mainsheet. I've been told that I would need to undo the plug at the end of the boom to access the nuts to tighten them.
The plug needs replacing too as there is a bit broken.
My question is how do...
I have the same tiller and exactly the same problem... I blame ACME for not drilling a hole for the tiller retaining pill so the line from the rudder has been putting too much stress on the cleat.
I have now drilled (too big) a hole for the tiller pin but not fixed the head-less screw, I...
Everybody experiences this "round up" on a wild reach.
What you need to do is depower the sail by pulling the outhaul, remember the sail stretches a LOT on a reach so pull it more. Let the downhaul off as usual on a reach. Ease the vang so that the boom doesn't hit the water. Have you raiser...
Very nice pics - I love the first one next to the yacht :)
BTW what is that Laser red hull with the Laser logo near the bow? I've never seen such a hull - custom paint job?
Sorry for intruding but I just wanted to say that I really don't like the look of those new yellowish foils and I cannot understand how that colour has been validated to go with white Lasers. Is it because it's the natural colour maybe?
hmm that's a really strange question you're asking mate :D
try keep the helm as neutral as possible and steer with your body and push/pull the tiller when you need to tack
