I see the results have not been posted yet, but I have the top-10. Winds were 20+ with gusts to 30 out of the NE (and higher winds expected tomorrow). The fleet was beat up and sore when we got in. The race committee wisely cut it off after 2 races, rather than the scheduled 3.

USA's Paul-Joun Patin is in the lead with a 1, 2, Net 3. Here is the top 10:

1) Paul-Patin Patin, USA 3 points
2) Marx Chirinos, Venezuela, 5
3) Ard Van Aanholt, Curacao, 6
4) Peter Stanton, US VI, 10
5) Malcom Smith, Bermuda, 13
6) David Mendelblatt, USA, 13
7) Juan Jose Delgado Hurtado, Guatemala, 14
8) Mathieu De By, Holland, 14
9) Hank Saurage, USA, 21
10) Cor Van Aanholt, Curacao, 22 ...

I'm going to eat now, but will get full results up later on tonight at www.Sunfishworlds.com, along with photos from today. Photos from Sunday's practice race are already posted.

OK, full results entered on Sunfishworlds.com with some photos from a wild day. Please note that these are prelim scores. At least two competitors, including David Loring -- who had a 3rd and a breakdown/DNF -- are not here due to redress requests.

Very nice blog, Eric. Keep it up! I realize this must be hard after a rough day on the water, but we landlubbers (stay at home sailors) do appreciate it.

What's up with the goosenecks? It appears that ~10% of them are failing or is it more than that; a 'bad' batch? Does LaserPerformance manufacture these things or are they sourced out?

Any mast failures; it seems that the conditions were conducive to 'problems'...

Boats have held up very well, actually, despite some high winds/waves. The gooseneck issue was resolved with a new shipment after the Jrs. Laser Perf does not make them. Bad batch from the supplier.

We had a great day today. David Loring now in the lead. Full results available via Sunfishworlds.com. We're working on getting our first videos up, too, but some technical/health/sea-water issues have made things hard on this end.
