District 13 Fleets

Looking outward at retiring in FL and curious where the Laser fleets are located. No need for politics since i will be staying in the boat regardless- just getting a sight picture for active fleets.

The D13 champs are happening in November in Jacksonville. Should be a well attended regatta and a good chance to talk to the locals. South Florida east coast for sure. I’m not a local but the entire area sounds like it has a ton of activity. Jensen beach down to Lauderdale, Miami.....
 
There is a ton of junior sailing in D13, big teams in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and St. Petersburg. There is a good series in Miami 1 weekend a month and everyone is invited. We had a 30 boat radial fleet two weeks ago. Look up BBYRA racing.

Have you contacted the district secretary there?
 
Thanks all - I have not contacted the district secretary yet and was fishing for the ground truth first.
