I have an Omega 14 with an unfortunate recent kink in the mast. I am wondering if anyone is interested in any parts off the boat before I take it to the dump. If there is something that you need let me know and make an offer. Happy sailing!

Hi there, new to the forum but noticed your post. We have a 14.2 as well & the mast base plate cracked in half. Do you still have the boat? If so, could I contact you for details.....also, we need a new jib sail if you or anyone has a line on parts. Thx.....my email is [email protected], cell is 206-255-3035, located in Seattle.

1. Pre unwind the winch line from the bow when you have it on a trailer. 2. Lift the mast (note ensure the shrouds are not fouled) from about the middle and walk the mast into the mast foot. 3. Use the bow winch line and wrap the line around the mast about 3 feet up from the base of the mast, then slowly tension the winch until the fore stay can be attached to the bow plate.

I presume you know that the mast base just sets in the mast foot. To de-rig is just the reverse the winch procedure. When lowering the mast, be sure to reach as far up the mast as possible and walk the mast aft in the hull until it can be balanced and secured into the mast cradles.

I have done this numerous times by myself, but I try to have someone around to help in case of a problem.

Hi,

If you haven't already dumped it, do you still have the rudder, center board with pivots, jib cars and Barney post

Sorry it has been a long time since I checked this site. I still have the rudder. Center board was a replacement when I got it and not worth sending too you. I do think I still have the pivots though. I do have the jib cars but mine did not have a barney post. Email is [email protected] if you are still interested.
