Video: Sailing In Tomales Bay With Greg and Dennis

Less than 24 hours earlier, it had been blowing 35 out of the northwest just a couple of miles down the bay from here. They were forecasting the wind to come up again this day so we got there early.

Not long after we were all set up the light southeast wind died to nothing then switched to light northwest so we took to the water. Sailed upwind down the bay a ways, around the anchored boats and docks and generally followed Greg around in his Sunfish.

Later, Dennis arrived in his Laser and we rode higher gusts back and forth that were coming out of the canyons on Point Reyes as the wind picked up. Pulled out on one of the many beaches on the Point Reyes side of the bay, took a break and had some lunch.

Too bad I hadn't brought my baseball cap mounted GoPro that was sitting in my truck back at the launch because eventually the stronger northwest wind arrived and we had nice broad reaching runs back and forth in this beautiful setting. Next time.

Here's the video.
