Hello Lady Laser Radial and Gentleman Laser Sailors:
You are invited to compete in the U.S. SAILING Area J (Southern California, Southern Nevada, Utah and Arizona) O'day Semi-Finals and the chance to race for the U.S. SAILING Single Handed Championship later this summer. The Area J Semifinals will be held at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) in Long Beach CA Saturday June 9th.
We're expecting a strong turn-out this year for both the men's (Laser Full-Rig) and women's (Laser Radial) fleets and hope you can join us for some good racing. The NOR and on-line registration can be found by going to http://www.abyc.org/ and clicking on Area J on the left menu bar.
Note: early registration is just $20 until June 5 and $30 after June 5th. There is a perpetual trophy for both the men's and women's fleets.
This year, the women's finals will not be sailed in Laser Radials. Instead they will be sailed in the new CBII provided by Zim Sailinghttp://www.ps2000.biz/classes/byte/assets/introducing_cii.pdf.
The Area J representatives are also eligible for travel grant funding.
Hope to see you at ABYC.
