News US Master

Unfortunate turn of events for Sunfish master sailors. Paul Jon Patin is now a master. It was windy today and Paul Jon smoked the fleet with four of what the kids these days call "bullets". Tom Whitehurst had four seconds. Chris Williams did me a favor by using a crazy colored sail so I could see him despite my cataracts. He is in third. Rick Whitehurst is fourth and Rob Eberle is 5th. There are 36 boats registered but some of the sailors who had not been taking their calcium supplements felt there bones might snap in the breeze so about 30 boats were on the course.

The Lewes YC has done a very nicejob and thoughtfully pureed dinner for those of us without teeth.

Re: US Masters Final

Lots of change in the wind today, but no change in the top 5 from yesterday, so Paul Jon Patin is the Masters champion. Three races in sit-on-the-deck offshore winds coming from the south. A big "shout in" (I think that's what the kids call it) to a true Master, Jim Greenfield, who went 2-1-1 today.
