Hi there!
I bought a Canadian-made Sunfish (or so it seems) a couple years ago. After looking at this forum, I cannot find the type of info on my boat (such a a serial number on the transom) that would help me determine how old it is. Since there is no compartment, I suppose it is pre-1971. It has Alcort stickers on the front end sides and the only ID I can find is a serial number (499U) on the metal plate behind the splashguard and it doesn't match anything I have found on the net so fat. Finally, it has the "old style" rudder that was changed in 1963. Could it be that canadian versions kept these rudders after that? So many unanswered questions... Thanks for your help!
