I found a 1901 copy of "Sailing Alone Around the World" at a house sale last week - signed by the author. (The inscription is to Roger Upton, a big-name boater who sailed with FDR and founded the United States Power Squadron. He met Slocum in 1902, apparently. I bought it from his grandson.)
I put this book up for auction on eBay, ending Sunday July 21. If you search "Slocum signed" it should come up. I thought I'd mention it in a sailing forum like this, since I'm guessing this is where the sailors are. Fun to look at, if nothing else!
