I have sailed alot without a rudder in 420's and Laser II's, but I was wondering how you do it in a Laser. Is it any different?

I have never tried it, but there is some info on the mailing list right now at /showthread.php?s=&threadid=364

Best,

umm, yeah, basically, just use your body weight. it doesn't really work upwind, just downwind. go up to the bow, around the mast, and just use your body weight. Don't fall in though!

Bodyweight will steer a laser very easily. Start off practicing ona reach with the board about half way up, and to start with, keep the board like this for running rudderless. Otherwise, due to the laser's weight, its really easy and surprisingly responsive.
