Folks, I just purchased the Minn Kota 30 for my new 1999 14.2, with the corresponding type 24 battery. Although I only weigh 150 lbs, I am concerned that the stern may ride too low, even with two mushroom anchors up in the cuddy. My questions are related to how you installed your battery into the cuddy cabin, how you ran the wires, where you cut thru the deck (the transom?) to do this, and what kind of on/off switch you installed. The guy at Academy, where I got the motor, suggested gluing the battery box to the hull with 5200. I know that this is some wicked adhesive, but would it work for this application? All suggestions are welcomed. Weather permitting, I am taking her out for the first time this weekend. Thanks, George
