Can anyone tell me the relationship between sail number and year of the boat? Specifically sail number 2329 and sail number 98?

    Sail number

Sail number 98 was built in 1984. Numbers in the 2300s date to the late '80s. The best way to get the year built is to the check the VIN on the outside of the transom (upper stb. side) It will say CPSD followed by the hull number. The last digits show the month and date of construction, i.e., 10/89.

Factory sail numbers are sequential to manufacturing. The first 14.2 built was issued sail number 1, the second one was issued sail #2, and so forth.
