I'm looking at upgrading my charts this season and have been doing some research. I've been leaning toward the new Navionics line -- specifically the Platinum+ since that one seems to be focused offshore. The satellite overlay looks pretty cool (see attached pic from the flyer). They are $30 off this month too, which certainly helps.

Anyone else pick up these new charts or seen them in action? Thoughts?

The platinum chips have been a huge help for us in cruising. The Navionics Platinum chips contain 3D data in the charts so you can actually explore a marina before you get there. As cruisers, we visit lots of marinas we've never been to before and having a single screw sailboat limits our maneuverability ( compared to powerboats and twin screws anyway). So being able to explore before we get there has been very reassuring!
