I've been researching events and found this - Potomac River Sailing Association -
May 2 - 3
Doc Gilbert Memorial Potomac Cup, for Lightnings and Hamptons, races at Leesylvania State Park. (RC-Lightnings) Skipper’s meeting Saturday at 10:30. First warning signal at noon. Sunday the first race is at 10:00.
Bring your boats and lets see what we can do against the Lightnings while not interfering with the racing! Have our own informal competition?
Let me know, I live next to the park and would be happy to host a BBQ at the park.
This is a very nice park, lots of stuff for family/kids to do.
