    Position: After Market Customer Service Representative
    Location: Portsmouth, RI
    Reporting to: Team Leader Sales Administration

    LaserPerformance LLC (formerly Vanguard Sailboats) is the world’s largest manufacturer of high quality, durable and reliable sailboats for the recreational and racing sailor and is the steward for some of sailing’s most recognized brands. Products include the Laser and Sunfish, two of the most respected brands in the sailing world. The company is introducing new products including the SB3, recent winner of the Sailing World Boat of the Year award.     LaserPerformance has an immediate opening for a high caliber After Market Customer Service Representative. The position will be responsible for administrative tasks relating to post sale activities that support the end user, the dealer network and the Sales Department. A primary responsibility will be the rapid and satisfactory resolution of warranty claims. This is a full time position and the successful candidate will be a self motivated, detail oriented, and friendly individual. Ideally, the candidate will have significant experience with our products and some prior experience with customer service. Strong working knowledge of computers is a must. Responsibilities and skills required are detailed below.

    Responsibilities:
    This candidate will be a member of the Sales Administration team whose principal aim is to maximize sales and customer service for our dealer network.
    • Perform administrative duties to support the development, implementation, and effectiveness of sales programs and all outside sales representatives.
    • Manage and solve warranty inquiries, returned merchandise, shipping shortages and shipping damage for external customers and dealers. Record information, track trends, and submit appropriate internal documentation.
    • Assist in running, analyzing and reporting sales history for internal and external use for a variety of product lines.
    • Manage the new dealer application process.
    • Support sales and marketing projects.
    • Assist in implementing and monitoring dealer promotions and programs.

    Skills Required:
    • Extensive knowledge of dinghies and dinghy sailing. Candidate must understand different boat parts and nautical terms.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and more specifically with Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with Access Databases and accounting software is a plus.
    • Propensity toward self motivation and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment.
    • Ability to respond to customer inquiries in a courteous, timely, and helpful manner.
    • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Effective time management and ability to multi-task.

    Education Level: College Degree preferred.
