The 83rd Annual Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA) Midwinter Regatta, the longest-running regatta in Southern California will be contested President's Day Holiday weekend February 18-17.
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) in Long Beach CA will be hosting Laser Masters. Masters are racers 35 years and older. Masters Handicap scoring will be used and rig-swapping (full-rig to Radial & vice versa) will be allowed.On-line registration is not available for this regatta, so go to: http://midwinters.scyaweb.org/2012mwr/ to download a registration form and for other regatta information.
This event will be a good tune-up for the Manning Regatta March 3-4 and Laser Midwinters West March 23-25, both at ABYC. So all you 35 and older Laser and Radial racers, we hope to see you at ABYC!Sailors and guests arriving early on Friday are invited to attend the ABYC General Membership Meeting, hosted by the ABYC Laser Fleet, Friday evening at the clubhouse. A tasty dinner will be offered and after dinner, there will be an interesting presentation by a Tug Boat Captain with FOSS Maritime who will tell us about how FOSS handles the ship trafffic to and from our Ports.
