51 boats from as far away as Canada and Puerto Rico showed up to race on Rehoboth Bay, Delaware. The Bay is approx 4 miles N-S by 2.5 miles E-W Depth is about 6'-9' (more on that later)
5 races total - all course were trapezoids with the w/l after the first run.

3 races on Sat. Winds were 8 dropping to 5 for the first race, about 5 for the second race (race was shortened) , with a break for lunch. 3rd race started in about 5 and died to 0 on the first downwind. Light zephyrs made for slow/painful going, but we managed to finish on the second downwind leg. As the fleet was finishing, a huge front was moving in, 20 minutes after the finish it was blowing 20 and 40 minutes later is was blowing 30 with gusts to 40. Sat night as the wind howled outside with gusts in the mid 40's, we were all treated to a huge chicken/corn barbecue. More food then 50+ Laser sailors and guests could eat, even going back for seconds and thirds.. The local brewery supplied some of their finest as well
Sunday dawned bright and a little chilly, with the wind still 20-25 gusting to 30. The RC held everyone inshore until approx 11:45 when race 4 started. Sunday's wind had some big shifts in it, as well as screaming reaches and a number of capzises on the runs and gybe mark. With only 6-9' of water, a number of folks tried drilling for "Texas tea" but only found some nice thick mud.
Wind for both race 4 and 5 was approx 15-20 with some gust to 25.
Race 4 winner was Rudy Ratsup
Race 5 winner was Blake Marriner
Racing was called at 1:30pm. Tired and hungry sailors came ashore, washed and packed up, finished up the leftovers from Sat night and the awards were handed out
