Laser 28 racer cruiser sailboat for sale. World famous designer Bruce Farr knew what he was doing when he developed this classic offshore racer hull shape. This example comes equipped with a New mainsail, stackpack and lazyjacks, one older kevlar main 50% life left, one dacron main with slugs, it's a cruising sail, I wouldn't race with it. A jib Tuff luff, 2 Race ready Number 1s One feather light drifter number one that made it out of the sail bag once on a no wind day at the races, one kevlar number 3 used once, and a bullet proof storm jib, and a well used laminate number two. I have several other older cruising sails as well. She has two spinnaker poles, one is the J dimension measurement and the other is the class size. Three racing spinnakers, one of which is still nice and crispy. New soft lockers, New autopilot, New Kevlar light air jibsheets, New Main halard, fresh Epoxy bottom coat, sanded with 400 wet dry sandpaper. Keel and rudder faired using Naca templates. Painted with two part polyeurthane deck paint last year. boomkicker, sailcomp fluxgate compass, and a depth and knotmeter. Updated adjustable jib cars, and windward sheeting car for the mainsail. Also the jib halard and spinnaker halard have been led out of the mast for racing. Extra purchase was ran inside the boom for the main sail outhaul for racing. Spectra backstay with backstay whip, and all the fixings for spectra running backstays are included. I never used the running backs, but I was told they made a difference in upwind performance. Kevlar hull number 109. The kevlar is a remarkable feature. As kevlar ages it retains more than twice the strength of a comparable E glass laminate, which means this boat is MUCH stronger than an E glass boat of the same vintage. Comes with custom trailer, with power brakes, that's rated to haul loads more than twice the weight of this light, nimble 4000 lb all out racer with cruising accommodations that include a fully enclosed head, standing headroom, camping stove and plenty of sleeping and storage space. I raced this boat in the Lake Michigan solo challenge last year, and she kept up with boats that had more than double her waterline length. More pictures and details are available upon request.
