How's this for a DIY wind indicator?

    Five minutes of work. I used a zinc wire, brass tubing, two model airplane wheel bushings, a piece of plastic 4.5" in length and cut from a greenhouse garden pot, and some tape. I'm hoping it'll work. The intention is to mount it with velcro and a PVC fitting cut in half lengthwise - might put it at the top of the mast.

    I would recommend keeping it down on the bottom section of your mast or make a mount for the bow ring which is another popular place to put it, but that makes paddling and rocking difficult.
