Head Covering

So I have a nice big floppy brimmed hat that I wear on most boats to keep from burning my scalp in the sun. I've tried it on the Laser and it just got in the way and annoyed me. Yesterday I went without it, tried to apply sunblock to my head, and ended up burned anyway.

What do you guys use that doesn't get in the way on a Laser (mostly I kept hitting the brim on the boom) to keep from burning your scalp? Is there some special technique for putting my sunblock on that works better?

wear a beanie sure there more suited to winter but some folk wear um all year round and they keep sun of ya nogin and there is no peak to flick them off the boom on.

spray on sunblock seems to do a halfway decent job of protecting those follicle challenged areas, but the baseball cap is better. Add a lid leash (because no matter how tight you wear it, there will be at least one tack during the day that knocks its off)
