'Fat' eyelet in Rooster radial replacement sail

The eyelet in the clew of my Rooster replacement radial sail is much thicker than the eye in the Rooster replacement standard sail or the official standard sail of my boat. That means neither the hook of the Harken clew sleeve, nor the hook of the Ronstan 'outhaul block with hook' seat properly. The sleeve hook cannot fully turn to the locked position and the hook of the block rests on the edges of the eyelet as opposed to the 'bottom' of the eyelet.

Is this a flaw in the Rooster radial sail or is this common to all radial sails?

Best,
Duncan

All real Laser sails of all sizes have the same cringles. (And they haven't changed at least since the early 1980s.)
