With the able help of Vaughn Harrison, Head Coach at the International Sailing Academy, I've compiled a variety of simple (and not so simple!) tips to help you increase your awareness of the skills required to be successful on the run.

General Skills
Sail the headed tack
If you were sailing upwind on the headed tack you’d be sailing AWAY from the mark. Conversely for the downwind the headed tack points you towards the mark. When a wind shift comes that lifts you, it’s time to jibe. Remember jibing is not nearly as detrimental as tacking and you can make big gains.
