Dimples on the hull

My Mod3 2004 Capri 14.2 spent the winter on the trailer. Where the bow roller meets the bottom of the hull I developed two dimpples from the roller.
Has anyone heard of this? Next winter I will take steps to fix this.
Any info regarding this problem is most welcome.

Dimples on Hull

More than likely, the dimples are the result of foam degradation. There are blocks of foam between the deck and the hull that can become dislodged or waterlogged. Don't be shocked: this is a common problem with older boats. First, try installing trailer bunks shaped like the hull; perhaps the dimples are small enough to work themselves out once the weight is off.

The long-term fix is to carefully inject expanding foam in the cavity. You should install access ports in the hull, first to inspect the damage and second to dry out the enclosed hull spaces. All boats should have access porst from day one. Visit http://www.shortypen.com/boats/holder12/for complete info. Instead of repairing from the hull side, you can inject from the deck side.
