Best way to protect a moored Capri from thieves

I'm getting ready to tie my Capri to a mooring buoy just off the beach, and I'm concerned that a shackle isn't enough protection against someone slipping up at night a taking off with the boat.

To my knowledge, theft is not a problem in this area: I'm just a little paranoid.

Any suggestions for clever knots, strong mooring line rope, etc., that will help to deter theft?

My suggestion is to take the rudder, sails, and boom with you when you go.
