    Race 1 completed. Results not yet posted. Winds gusting to 25+; all boats sent in after R-1. Racing to begin again at noon when winds are predicted to die down.

    The C of C is supposed to be for class champions, but this group is heavily populated by Sunfish folks. I recognize seven of the group (total 19) as people I have raced with (and who have beaten me badly).

    After five races, PJ Patin, Sunfish Class President, is still leading.

    After 7 races on Day One, Paul-Jon Patin continues to place in the Top Three to hold 1st place. Not far behind, however, is Greg Gust in 2nd place moving up fast. The competition is heating up, and Day Two's racing will be very exciting!

    Eduardo Cordero has had to withdraw from the competition due to an elbow injury. The 18 remaining competitors which includes 4 youth sailors -- Stephan Baker, Blaire McCarthy, Christian Spencer and Nicholas Marwell -- have started Day 2's racing. Results will be posted as soon as they become available.

    Noting some impressive place finishes in Race 11 only (which didn't change the Top 5 finishes after 10 races (posted earlier)). But with two Youths placing in the Top 5 in Race 11 and our own U.S. Sunfish Class Association President getting a bullet, well ...
    1) Chapman;
    2) Patin;
    3) McCarthy (Youth);
    4) Baker (Youth);
    5) Schmitt

    After 2 days of racing, the results of the 16th race didn't change the overall Top Ten but did post a bullet for Eugene Schmitt, 2nd Stephan Baker (Youth), 3rd Blaire McCarthy (Youth), 4th Greg Gust, 5th McCaffrey.

    Overall finishes after two days of racing are: 1 Patin; 2 Gust; 3 Schmitt; 4 Kaukeinen; 5 Chapman; 6 Koehler; 7 Spencer (Youth); 8 McCarthy (Youth); 9 Fisher; 10 McCaffrey; 11 Baker (Youth); 12 Marwell (Youth); 13 Allen; 14 Boll; 15 Abelin; 16 Freund; 17 Cordero; 18 Ruppen; 19 Montano.
