Comes with a Radial sail so it's aimed a youngsters.
The front shock cord passes though the main sheet block and around the spar. The Rear goes around the hiking strap and then round the spar. There should be a diagram that comes with the set.
What are peoples thoughts on the new blocks that have just been announced?

As far as I'm concerned it should of been done years ago. Probably when the new kicker was introduced.
Has anyone here actually used them and if so what are they like?
Thats all you need to do put the sail on the mast and slide the indicator inbetween the sail and the mast. Push most of the rod in so there's only enough above the sail to allow free movement and it'll not come out.
However I use a windex with it's mount taped to the bow eyelet. Make sure the...
Simply put :- Sailing by the lee is when you sail down wind with the sail on the same side as the wind is coming from. At roughly the same angle as a broad reach on the opposite tack.
In theory, if your on a port broad reach and were to gybe the sail without altering course you would be...
It was rule 11b I was thinking of and particually the section 'improve the performance, finish, materials or shape beyond the original is not permitted.' I always understood this to mean you couldn't use waxes, polishes or lubricants that stayed on the hull and made it more slippery.
Re-finishing of the hull has always been illegal, whether as a lubricant or polish. The only things you can do to the hull are 1, repair damage. 2, clean it (with something that does not leave a residue).
This change is to allow the clew tie down and the loops around the boom for the XD...
As mentioned on another thread last week. I've used the same Rooster Carbon Tiller for the last 8 years. I'd look carefully at any new tiller to ensure that it's strong in the place where the last one broke.
Out of interest where did it break?
I have used the same Rooster tiller and extension since 2000 with no problem at all. The extensions come in various diameters so it's worth trying the different sizes to see which suits your hand size. I've got an oval section which I find helps with holding the main sheet.
If your on the south...
Definately keep the CB down if you think you might death roll. For 2 reasons :-
1. The foil helps to stop the rocking.
2. If you do roll, you may hit the CB when the boat stops and you continue. This can be quite painful as I know to my cost.
You are much better sailing S from by the lee to...

It's well worth learning to sail by the lee on flat water. You need to learn it there before using it in the waves anyway and it will allow you to chase gusts going down wind with out constantly gybing.
This allows to follow an S course going from broad reach to bye the lee keeping...
I've never had a problem with a lower section, but uppers seem to suffer just above the collar at the join. This seems to be much worse since the new control lines were introduced as the multiple purchases on the kickermean it's easy to over tighten when bringing down the boom.
The only real...
