Came across a picture of one, I would say a definite caveat emptor until the current dispute is resolved.
This is on a UK built boat (the boat is currently for sale, advertised as never having been in the water).
Well after sailing this past weekend I noticed my long suffering mainsheet is finally showing sign of wear meaning I will soon need to replace it.
I currently have (I think) a very early Rooster polilite. It has done 5+ years of sterling service and does not seem to tangle as badly as other...

There is no note to this effect on the item that I can see
Hi all,
Had an interesting conversation with a friend of mine last night. He has just purchased a new Laser in the UK. I asked where he bought it from and he advised that he ended up pay ILCA directly for it (I didn't ask where he actually collected it from though).
This is a new one on me...
Hi all,
I friend of mine has finally got his new boat from LP (he only had to wait 6 months).
He has sailed it a few times and is having real issues with the new foils. He says they are quite brittle and chip very easily (even more easily than the old boards).
He also reports that they...
Hi all,
I have discovered that my long suffering top section has got a slight bend in it. I am intending to end for end it but I have 1 question.
Do you put the old rivet holes in tension or compression (i.e. should the bent bit point forwards or backwards?)
I did a search but couldn't see...
ok so a guy in South Yorkshire is selling these on Apolloduck:

He says the are the new glass foils. No forgive for being a cynic but I thought new glass foilds were the off yellow resin colour as opposed to a brilliant white as...

A blatant plug here....for UK forum members probably.

Can one of our learned mesurers who frequent this place tell us all if these are legal...
Hi,
I have heard that you can get an all aluminium replacement for the small plastic fittings for the traveller rope.
Having had one let go I am very tempted to buy a couple. The compmany that makes them tells me they are class legal, can a measurer confirm this?
Cheers, Jeffers
After viewing a lot of the threads on this subject and looking at my own foils (which are in a bit of a state it must be said). I have decided that they could use some TLC. I understand all about the wet and dry etc. But what paint should be used prior to refinishing?
I am guessing it is some...
