    Gooseneck upside down?

i do not use the holes in my gooseneck either. I would not bother changing the gooseneck around. With most of the outhaul systems i have seen it will not make any difference.

Way to go Tom, i know the exitment your feeling now because i recently got a new boat for grad and it feels good to finally be in a boat thats not older than I am. As for a name you should go with Trogdor, those who get it will think its halrious and to others it just sounds like an awesome...

    Safe water temperature

Im gonna have to agree with Tulk, sail if u can. Put a dry suite on and dress in lots of layers. And if there is a chance the weather may cause problems for you and your boat then make sure u have a crash boat with you when ya headout. Keep Sailin.

    Hiking in gusty winds

I dont know if this is what you should be doing but when i need to come into the boat due to a lull or huge header, insted of pulling my butt directly into my cockpit i think its faster to ark your upper body foreward or backwards to bring your body weight in and that buys u a little time to...

    LASER CD'S

I have the Laser Coach 2000 Cd. It has some video clips and covers everything from technique & tactics to fitness and mental preparation. Over all it is a very good program and i would recommend purchasing it, although i have never used any other program and would not have anything to compare it to.

    Cunningham on starboard ?

It does not make much of a difference which side you rig outhaul and cunningham. I prefure my outhaul to starboard because it seems to work slightly better with my outhaul set up, but that is just preferance try both ways and choose the side that you like best. Keep Sailing.

    weather helm

Stephanie Barry It sounds to me like you are way overpowered. If this is happening, You can try moving down to a radial. Pulling your main in to decrease sail area (Make sure your sail is not out past 90 degrees). Tighten your vang a bit, this prevent the wind from spilling off the leech of the...

    Preventing Deathrolls

From my experiance and tips from my coach, the best ways to prevent deathrolling are: -Don't let your sail past 90 degrees this includes the bubble in your sail caused by letting the outhaul off. -Tighten your BoomVang, not enough vang causes the wind to "spill" out the leach making the boat...

    weather helm

In a laser the best prevention to weather helm that i find is keeping the boat flat. If its flat there should be almost no weatherhelm at all.

    Identify type of Laser

The best way to tell if a Laser is radial or not is to simply look at the Laser logo on the sail, if the logo is parrallel to the batten pocket then it is a Laser-Full Rig and if the Laser Logo is not parrallel then it is a Radial you can tell if it is a 4.7 or not by looking to see if your...

    Best sailing shop...

Hey L-P it shouldnt be hard to find the length of line for your laser. Simply ask a emloyee at your local dingy shop, i know that in Edmonton our shops keep a binder of Laser information behind the counter. I also believe that the length of line for the cunningham and outhaul on the race kits is...

    Install an autobailer?

Hey Dan, I have had the old bail system and the new autobailer, and the suction is much better on the new system you can even drain your cockpit in light winds (a problem I had with the old system) which might be necessary if you take a roll tack too far. I also had a serious problem with...

    Best Life Jacket?

A good high performance PFD is the Stohlquist Wedge, i bought one for $100 Canadian and the jacket hasent given me a single problem. Its low-profile and Canadian gov't approved, so for my purposes it works best. I defenetly would advise checking into it if looking for a new performance PFD.
