The same thing happended to my centreboard. I used Araldite Rapid to stick the piece back on. It's a 2 part adhesive widely available in the UK. Minimal prep with great results. This is what Rooster recommend on their website. Don't know if you get it on the other side of the pond though.
I have just purchased a new Laser XD mainsheet for the upcoming season. Although not purchased from Rooster, I read on their website that they recommend washing their Polilite mainsheet before use on a cold wash with a little detergent to remove oils in the rope.

No problem. I drive a 1.6 and have trailed my Laser around the Highlands of Scotland. You hardly notice you are trailing at all. I don't think there will be much difference with a 1.4.
I was just wondering what peoples' preferences are about using the ratchet function on their mainsheet block. Up to now I rarely have it on as I think I have less 'feel' on the mainsheet.
Any thoughts?

Went back to using the strap on Saturday (blowing a gusty Force 4), sailed 3 races and on the last beat on the 3rd race the velcro strap came undone! So now it's back to using a piece of rope!
I've just fitted my new Harken Clew Sleeve and am experiencing problems getting it to slide back and forth on the boom when adjusting the outhaul. I've rigged it as per the packaging instructions (Hook on port side, line on Starboard).
