well it might be... but i think the laser fun is like the original improvement of the laser 2... and then maybe the vago replaces the laser fun and laser 2.

uhhh, i dont think it is cos the vago is relatively new, but the laser fun is quite old - the spinnaker and the spinnaker pole are two different systems, and the hull looks like the normal laser hull, just bigger...

was doing a High performance course over christmas and one of the boats we were learning in was a laser fun... although a slightly silly name the boat was actually quite ... well fun. it is meant to be an evoloution of the laser 2, having an a-symmetrical spinnaker replacing the symmetrical...

right, but then couldnt you make the boom longer to balance it out,:) meaning the aspect ratio is lowered:mad: which then means you have to increase the height of the sail:), which then means youd have to trapeze,:D which isnt really possible on a laser.:mad: im begining to think they actually...

what happens if you move the mast forward ? (other than the sail moving forward to :P)

right, cos someone (not on here) said that a broad reach was fastest cos then you had the "wing effect" of the sail as well as the wind pushing you along. does it vary for different boats ?

i can see this going around in circles :D another question : on which point of sail are you most likely to reach maximum boat speed ???

but then couldnt you increase the height of the mast so that the aspect ration stays the same ?
