Is it REALLY bad luck to rename a boat? Just got another Laser hull to do up it is called GIDDENBEHIND or am I just being homophobic? The one I sail isnt even named! :o

How fast does a Laser sail? Has anyone ever had a boat with a log go beside them on different points of sail to see how fast they are going? Has anyone used a handheld GPS? but does that just give speed over ground?

Your opinion please. I would like to say I was out sailing in 60knot winds and my gooseneck ripped right out while I was hiking standing on the gunwhales while text messaging my mate from my cellphone at the same time. But that didnt happen. It was more like 20 knots and it was already loose...
