Yes i would replace any original deck fittings. i just finished restroring my 73 laser, and she looks real good. i jus wondering hows the mast step i know mine was in pretty rough condtion.

very confusing indeed... so faster you go the further away "aparent wind" is from "true wind". thus not allowing you to point as high.

so correct me if im wrong. faster you go, the closer the "aperent wind" gets to "true wind", also allowing you to point higher.

well for some of us who do sail on the ocean andwould like to keep thier canadian, american, british or assuie citizenship. might take this seriously. although as i said before they are pretty quick to release if you capsize properly. if not i just the matter of swimming under and uncleating...

dude isnt this what its al about sailing your boat upsidedown under a bridge heading for open ocean. lol :) its funner then you think... anyways if tit capsizes while you have the main cleated either reach over and un cleat before it turtles or swimm under and get it... its allot eiser then...
