I am looking to propose having two Portsmouth Numbers for the Laser. Pre 2000 boats with recreational rigging shouldn't be handicaped the same as race ready boats post 2000. The vang alone makes these boats very different. The Sunfish Class has this type of handicaping. Who and how do I pursue...

We a very good condition Laser in our Club boatyard with the HIN ZFS 80017 M79E So this tells me its a 1979 so your chart for 1979 above should go out to 80017 at least. Tom

I just bought Laser #1019, it has that number stamped under the bow eye. Is it a 1971 boat? It has no HIN. Tom P
