I have never tried a fat wheeled one (never seen one in Italy) so I can't compare them but standard wheels work good at least on compressed, touristic-type :cool: beaches. Paolo

Also my aluminium, standard-wheeled dolly floats and I also think that's good for launching and loading from sandy beaches. As 49208 says, it helps keeping the boat centered. Paolo
