Very interesting answer. In particular the comment about cummingham tension. If have been advised to pull the cummingham with all my might and in waves release the outhaul to have power. Which is correct?
I would like to get back on track. I would like to know if your local fleet or club allows alternate sails to be used in local events? I understand a "one design" rated regatta that requires everyone to be a member of US sailing, the Laser association, and with sail and boat measurements is what...
I am a big supporter of One Design racing. However, the laser class insults me with the silly and narrow views about such things as the O-rings and sails. The class should decided on the legality of what can be used not the builder and their distributors.
I am haveng trouble getting to view the pictures on the Sunfish site. Perhaps someone with more computer skills than I have would be kind enough to post the links on this site.
Thanks in advance

I was curious if other areas used...
This weekend I was in a regatta that had 62 boats on the line and a 2 minute starting sequence.
If you were racing with 10; 20; 30; 40; or 50 boats and more...
How long would you like the starting sequence to be?
