The reason that I joined Bellwood and not Guelph Lake is that I sail J35's on Tuesday.Bellwood races Wednesdays and Sundays.I will try and come on the 1st it would be fun to sail against other Lasers for a change.
I am located in Cambridge .I sail out of Bellwood Lake in Fergus. There are 4 Lasers at the club, but mine is the only one that sees the water. It would be great to see more come out and join the club.

Teep the line config. from sailingtoronto.com will make it easier to pull the outhaul in.I use that system and I have 24' of line. You need to up grade the cleats to aluminium to stop the slipping.Sails do not have to be expensive a good used set at $200 and up can be found or click on Sail with...
In Ontario it says that you need a paddle, but in the information booklet it states that in small sailboats your rudder can be classified as your paddle. You can use the rudder in a sculling motion to get you ashore. You do requirer a waterproof flashlight.
Thanks Al and Tim. The boat is a '77.I live in one of those places with winter. So far that is the only place that I have found, but the season has just began.

I was recently down to Fogh Marine and they said the sail that I have is a Radial Sail and it is probably from the first year, in good shape probably used 30-50 times if that.
I recently bought a '77 sail# 47695 with original sail(blown out).Hull and deck vary sound. Also have what Fogh Marine believes to be a first year Radial Rig.
I have a metal basket style mast topper with riveted fairlead for the
