last I checked tackle shack was in tampa and gulfstream marine didnt keep stuff in stock because of the overhead costs so essentially they're a catalog. why does a sailing center like miami not have a colie sails pro shop or a sailing pro shop or a west coast sailing or an aps type store?
the sailing population is very large in miami with nowhere to buy anything except for west marine basically. Add to that the transient sailing population that we get november through february with all the olympic aspirants, orange bowl and midwinters participants, jaguar cup and bacardi cup...
how about just a retail sailing or dinghy sailing store in general. essentially everyone in miami has to go to the catalogs if they want any gear, or just wait until they're driving through tampa.
