    Halyard Bullseye Fairlead

yes, that is what I did, bought the piece from Alan and I was good to go. As with all these deck pieces, because you can't be sure how well the wooden backing plate is secured to the inside of the deck, do one screw at a time. Unscrew one, loosen the second, rotate the plate and screw in the...

    Halyard pulley replacement

I bought a replacement from Alan Glos on this forum. On mine, the nylon (?) pulley had been worn down, so all I had to do was screw in the replacement. you may try the hardware store for chain links ( http://www.kmsinc.net/chain-connectors.htm) or a heavy split-ring.

    Easy water side storage?

I tried an old crank off a boat trailer to haul the SF up the track. It was too low to the ground I think, and it pulled my stake out. But the track alone allows me to pull it up by my self.

    Easy water side storage?

Mine broke due to 30 years of salt water so it saved my boat. I think the weak point is the deck, so any bow handle will work.

    Easy water side storage?

my hope with the track is that it won't be too much stress on the bow handle. BTW: The Intensity Sails replacement bowhandle is solid stainless steel, better than the original chromed pot metal.

    track for SF over rip-rap?

alright, I built this track out of 10 ft drain pipe and I could pull the boat up the incline over rocks fairly easily. Next step is a winch.

    Easy water side storage?

as I have found out, with me pushing the transom and my friend pulling a line attached to the bow handle getting the boat off the beach and up a hill. The handle snapped. (I am currently making a skid using a pair of 10 foot 4" sewer pipes, I'll let you know how it goes. I needed the skid...

New to sailing - Sunfish as first boat to learn on? (and other questions...)

i have yakama roof bars and, although I only did it twice and on a Cherokee, heres how I did it. Go to lowes or home depot and get a 5 ft section of 3/4" black iron pipe. With the boat next to the car and the rack on the car, slide the pipe half way into one of the rack rails. Lift one end of...

    Dagger Board trunk repair

other than smoothing it out using the wax paper, nothing. I'll need to sand to smooth out some rough spots, but that will be it. I won't bother painting it, I don't mind the black and not much UV light will make it into the slot. The other spots I did aren't under a lot of stress so I'm not...
