    Hiking Strap

Absolutely right!!! The rubber strip is the key to good kinetics in Lasersailing. As "Mullet Time" already pointed out, especially for pushing the boat through big waves.

    Are you using replica sails?

I am sailing the lasder just for fun and I always got used legal sails. Now I wanted improve and bought a new one. I voted in favour of a replica because of the costs. A roostersailing replica comes for 294 and a folded legal sail 545 Euros. Quite an easy decission ...

    Creases crisis in replica sail

That is what Steve C. replied: "One disadvantage/advantage of the replica sail is it shows up potentialproblems with your spars. I think you have a bent top mast. With normallaser sails - the cloth is so soft that it does not show problmes with themast. You are suffering luff curbe...

    Creases crisis in replica sail

I am going to mail him soon. As I already said, I was never in doubt about his products and the way he is doing business. I am just interested in some "neutral" opinions. Even tough I have not seen an brand new legal sail I think it is heavily resinated. They advertise it as more stable ...

    Creases crisis in replica sail

Recently I bought an replica standard sail at roostersailing.com. Most of my equipment was bought there and I always was satisfied. But not now! Everything is fine until I get 20-30 centimeter before two-blocked. Then the sail creates 3-4 big creases going from the mast joint to the clew. I...

    What type of hiking style?

It is a bowline with a braided handle for better grip. For tightening you pull that handle and for loosening it you just pull the part of the loop on the other side.

    What type of hiking style?

This pctiure shows how to rig the toestrap for easy adjustments. I took it from www.roostersailing.com where almost every question will find its answer. How to loosen or to tighten the toestrap should be selfexplaining... Unfortunately the picture was slidely to big for uploading, but you will...

    Which upgrade is better?

I´ve only upgraded outhaul and cunni. The question wether or not to buy the new vang system gave me some sleepless nights. But having an pretty old boat made the choice easy. I went for the modifying option "roosterstylie". Two HK404 and a Ronstan Swivel (Ball beared) are creating enough...

Polypropylene v. Rooster "Inside Out" Mainsheet

I do something similiar already when I rig my laser. After coiling it I throw the roostersheet away keeping one end of it in my hand ;) . Now i put the sheet (very loose) back in the laser without coiling it and dead end it there. And it works just great!! Markus
