New Laser hull pressure

I got a new Laser, 195883 a few weeks ago and I noticed that it had a breather hole on the front face of the cockpit under the main block. I sailed it the other day for about 1.5 hours, air temp in the high 40's and water temp in the mid 40's. When I was derigging I pulled the plug out the back and noticed that the hull had somehow gotten pressurized as there was a rush of air out of the hull. I thought the breather hull was supposed to keep this from happening. I only have the plug in the back of the boat when I am sailing it. Anyone else notice this issue? Does anything need to be done.
Thanks

Are you sure air didn't rush in?

I've had a rush of air in my new hull with the removal of the transom plug. Didn't seem to be any problem.

Neither event is a good thing. Pressure on your laser either positive or negative exerts stresses that are horribnle for teh longevity.

Each of you should check your breather hole to make certain is is open. Stick a ttothpick in and make certain nothing is blocking the hole.

Also. if the weather is very warm and the water is very cold, you must launch your boat slowly so it does not cave itself in.

I ahve seen lasers with no breather holes after they ahve been stored under a dark cover on a sunny day. The worst one I remember had blown apart four feet of gunwale seam...not good.
