I've turned to the dark side

Well i haven't posted here for quite a few months now. The reason why you ask? Well I have turned to the dark side, and betrayed you all.

I never thought i'd say this, but i'm now a cat sailor. Yes I know, why oh why would I lower myself to sailing a catamaran. Well i've accepted an enrolment to a university 5 hours from my home town, and the only yacht club is a cat club.

It's a fine boat despite being a catamaran though, an ancient Australian design called a Mosquito. Take a look, they're also an F16 with a few modifications. http://www.geocities.com/f16hpclass/F16HP_boat_show_Mosquito_F16.html

So farewell fellow Laserites, no doubt after my 4 year course I will be back to the joys of competetive and tactful racing in the Laser. Also, sorry to Looserlu for not replying to some e-mails, I have rarely been home during the holidays and have had little chances to access a computer.

Seeya guys.. Jackson

Jackson - no worries here. From where I sit you were a borderline tosser anyway.

Best of British in your new boat.

Jackson,
best wishes for you and your future in sailing also from my side here, on the in the moment cold side of our big potatoe/earth.
It was always pleasure for me, to do conversation with you at TLF and you made a big advertizing to me for your great sailing-continet and their seamenship. Did you heard something from Philipp? All I know is, that he left Melbourne and now is in Hobard. Didn´t heard somthing from him since December.
Don´t forget us and don´t forget, if the out-of-the-box-boat-builders or the high-ILCA-classofficers did´nt have ruined our nice salingdinghy during your abstinence, we meet again somewhere, sometimes on the water ("world is small" we say here) :D
G´day

Now I, like most of us Laser sailors, didn't think much of multi-hulls untill I got a look at this video! It's not a Mosquito, but appears to be about the same size and its crewed with one person as well.

Follow this link to my Yacht Club's home page and scroll down just a short bit and click on the still frame on the left of the video I'm talking about. After, you can click on the video on the right and get a look at some Aussie 18's. Both are ridiculous!

Best of luck, just don't forget where your roots are, and remeber,
REAL MEN SAIL LASERS, THE REST JUST PLAY WITH THEIR DINGHYS.
Take care and don't let those cat sailing freaks mess with you too much...
