Edge Guards

After shredding my fingers on more-than-a-few rough rolled-edge Lasers and Sunfish it occurs to me that there has to be a trim guard product out there that would not only protect fingers but also serve to protect the vulnerable hull-topside joint...particularly when new sailers play "bumper cars" with other boats, docks, etc. Any thoughts out there would be greatly appreciated. Peace!:D

No. You are referring to older fish with an aluminum edge. The newer fish - 1993 on up as I recall - have a rolled edge at the hull/top joint just like a Laser. These edges get chipped and can get rough which makes them difficult to lift and renders the joint vulnerable.

I stand corrected - a not uncommon occurrence. The rolled edges started way back in 1987.
